Today marks the divine birthday of Khatu Shyam Ji, the beloved deity known as the Kaliyug Avatar of Lord Krishna, and thousands of devotees across India are celebrating the day with immense devotion and grandeur.
From early morning, the sacred town of Khatu in Rajasthan echoed with the chants of “Shyam Baba Ki Jai!” as devotees gathered to offer prayers and perform rituals at the famous Khatu Shyam Temple. The temple was beautifully decorated with flowers, lights, and colorful fabrics, creating a mesmerizing sight for visitors.
Large numbers of pilgrims arrived from different parts of the country to take part in the “Shyam Mahotsav”, which included bhajan kirtans, aarti, prasad distribution, and special devotional programs. Many devotees walked miles barefoot as a mark of their faith and gratitude toward Shyam Baba.
The temple priests performed the Mangala Aarti at dawn, followed by the Abhishek (holy bath) of the idol with milk, yogurt, and honey. The fragrance of incense sticks and the sound of conch shells filled the air with a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Devotees believe that Khatu Shyam Ji blesses his followers with courage, success, and peace. Many also observe fasts in his honor and spend the day singing bhajans and kirtans.
Social media platforms are flooded with messages and photos from Khatu Shyam Ji’s birthday celebrations, with devotees sharing greetings, quotes, and videos of virtual darshans.
The divine message of this day is clear – “Have faith, surrender your worries to Shyam Baba, and he will guide you.”
